After surviving a shark attack in June 2024, 15-year-old Lulu’s first words to her mother were, “I made it.” Thanks to the swift action and expert care of over 70 medical professionals at Ascension Sacred Heart and Studer Family Children’s Hospital, Lulu underwent life-saving surgery and began a remarkable recovery. Her family and community expressed deep gratitude for the hospital’s efforts and support during her critical care. Now fitted with prosthetics, Lulu is thriving—an inspiring symbol of courage, resilience, and hope.
